Bugs item #1311839, was opened at 2005-10-03 09:21 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=108956&aid=1311839&group_id=8956 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Admin Group: v1.7 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Neil (neilsourceforge) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Can not add respondent Initial Comment: I could not replicate this problem using the 'demo' site. Adding a respondent, using the instructions below, works on the demo site. At my installation: An attempt to add a respondent to their group from the 'Manage Respondent Accounts' page meets the response '[ This account does not have permission to access this group. ]' This feedback is obtained when selecting the link 'Add a New Respondent'. When the same information is stored in a file and the link 'Bulk Upload Respondents' is selected the respondent is added. The developer's account is fully privileged with the following attributes: Disabled No Design Surveys Yes Change Survey Status Yes Export Survey Data Yes Group Editor Yes Administer Designers Yes Administer Respondents Yes The fact that a respondent can be added using Bulk Upload implies it is not a permissions issue. Can anyone provide insight on how to correct this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=108956&aid=1311839&group_id=8956 |

Category: None Group: cvs Status: Closed Resolution: Accepted Priority: 5 Submitted By: Enrique Delgado (edelgadom) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: phpESP CVS is incompatible with PHP 5.x Initial Comment: I've had problems using phpESP 1.7.5 with PHP 5.x. I downloaded, installed and configured the latest CVS version but, I still have the same issues: 1. In the login screen, eevry time you want to login, the page just refreshes. I am certain the login and password is correct. 2. If you disable the authentication for the designer interface, clicking on any link on the designer interface refreshes the page but nothing else happens. I'm attaching an HTML version of the output of test.php ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Aaron Axelsen (axelseaa) Date: 2005-09-28 10:47 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=704595 It might be worth while to attach your php.ini file as well. I also have not had any trouble with php5. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Enrique Delgado (edelgadom) Date: 2005-09-28 10:34 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1316588 Sorry, I downloaded the CVS tarball from http://phpesp.sourceforge.net/ (link to http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/phpesp/phpESP-1.8-cvs.tar.gz) which seems to be outdated. Wehn I browsed the CVS tree I saw the fix had been performed so, I logged in to CVS from my box and checked out the lastest development version. That version works so this bug is no-longer. Dorry for the confusion. Maybe the tarball in http://phpesp.sourceforge.net/ needs to be updated? The fix seems to be 8 weeks old. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Matthew Gregg (greggmc) Date: 2005-09-28 10:25 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=14116 I cannot duplicate this here. Category: survey format Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: winston ford (winstonford) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: add a comments box to each question Initial Comment: Would like to add a comments box, just a textarea, for each question. So regardless of the question format, the respondent would be able to type in comments further explaining or qualifying his or her answer. When creating or editing a question, you currently have options: Length....Precision....Required? maybe add an bool option after Required?.....Comments? If Comments? dropdown was selected "yes", then question would have a textarea titled "Comments" next to question. Any ideas on how to implement appreciated. Whip-arse app yall are building here. thanks, Winston ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Robsteranium (robsteranium) Date: 2005-09-13 14:31 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1026345 Winston Could you please post the CSS that you used in this workaround - I'd be really interested to see your solution (however unelegant you find it!). Thanks in advance Robin ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: winston ford (winstonford) Date: 2003-10-14 01:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=694984 our quick fix was to hide the generated number through css and use the 'field name' field to tie the comments box (essay) to the relevant question. this also worked for multi-part questions which the client wanted to show as the same question. not elegant, but done. will report how it works. results are being mapped to access for a custom generated report in word. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: winston ford (winstonford) Date: 2003-10-09 01:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=694984 Yes, we're using !other. Great feature, but does not accommodate every question. Effectively, we need to accept comments on every question, even, for instance, when someone chooses and fills out the "other" option. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Matthew Gregg (greggmc) Date: 2003-10-08 17:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=14116 Have you looked at the !other option? That allows a comment field for radio/checkbox question types. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=358956&aid=820097&group_id=8956 |

Category: Admin Group: v1.7 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Jeff Bearer (jeffbearer) >Assigned to: Kon Angelopoulos (angek) Summary: No protection against activating an active survey Initial Comment: If a user goes to the query string url that activates a survey for a survey that is already active it purges all of the response data. This fix would be just to protect stupid people (like me) from themselves. This can happen easily by mistake like in my instance. I wanted to view the results so I started typing in the url in firefox. Ever Helpful Firefox populated the url for me and I hit enter. But this time firefox choose the url to activate the survey, whoops. A few lines of code that would keep you from accidently activating already active survey's would keep people from losing lots of data, like I had the unfortunate experience of having. Thankfully I have the email to recreate the responses. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Kon Angelopoulos (angek) Date: 2005-08-30 10:47 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=198398 I'll take a look at it in the next couple of days and see what I can come up with. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=108956&aid=1274102&group_id=8956 |

If I understand what you're saying most of this has been implemented in CVS thanks to a patch Angke submitted. Please take a look at what is available and see if it's close to what you are suggesting here. A patch for further changes is welcome.
