    1. the PostgreSQL database engine,
    2. the necessary user accounts,
    3. a StartupItem to get the system running,
    4. a JDBC driver for use from Java and Java Cocoa applications,
    5. some very basic administrative tools and
    6. the libraries needed for a developer to create applications that use PostgreSQL.

    Under part 2, the user accounts - what is the default password?

      Is it by default set as blank?

      It is ablank password, though I'm working to change it to a randomly generated password. You can then change it via, sudo bash;passwd postgres foo foo
