Clearsigning not functioning?

Hello,

I'm quite new to pgpenvelope, but I experience a problem with
signing, at least, that's what I think. First of all my specs:
* Debian 3.0, kernel 2.4.18
* gpg (GnuPG) 1.2.2
* Perl v5.8.0
* pgpenvelope 2.10.2

Now when I sign a message, I get such an output:

Now, shouldn't the "Hash: SHA1" portion go all the way and shouldn't
I see the clearsign signature instead of gpg-output?

I've googled on this like crazy, tried the "PERLIO=stdio" environment
setting, but no luck so far. Any clues what might be wrong?
