Sorry, I am a real newbe here. I came across this OS and wanted to try it out. I have a Windows 11 machine with VirtualBox installed where I want to add Peppermint as a virtual machine.
I read that Peppermint had been based on Ubuntu and is now based on Debian. My question is what Type and Version do I select for Peppermint when creating a new virtual machine for it? Web searches show to use Linux and Ubuntu but they are all old posts and not referring to ver 11.
Not knowing Linux but I would assume to use Linux and Debian now with ver 11. Can someone just comfirm that or set me on the right track.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hello welcome to the linux world especially Peppermint. in this link you will find the information you are looking for and have fun exploring Peppermint
Debian(64) is the correct choice. If you have boot issues. try Display > Screen > Graphics Controller (Drop Box) select "VBoxSVGA" and no 3D Acceleration. USB select USB 3.0. If you use a USB drive, you can pass it through the VBox Devices tab > USB

I did not find an installation example with Pepermint 11 so I used Linux for type and Debian(64 bit) for version and it is working.
