Hello! We introduced the first version of PeerGuardian for OS X<http://phoenixlabs.org/pgosx/>yesterday, so I hope everyone with a Mac will try it out and thank Phoenix Labs' new OS X developer qNation for spending his time making it! The Phoenix Labs website had a bit of down time due to a misunderstanding with the bank but we've got it squared away now so it's nothing to worry about. A brand new Blocklist.org <http://blocklist.org> should be re-launching by the end of this month which means we will be able to (with your help) revis= e the lists used in PeerGuardian much easier. Due to the Blocklist.orgservers being compromised in the past we will be doing a full audit on the lists before they go public. For users of PeerGuardian Lite or third party P2P software, we now have a small utility available on our website that will merge and optimize lists for use in those applications. The first Release Candidate of PeerGuardian 2 is heavy development with som= e significant improvements, but we aren't yet certain when it will be available. This will be the last release before the 2.0 final that will allow new features so make sure to voice what you want at our forums<http://forums.phoenixlabs.org/f6-peerguardian-2.html> . We have a little over five hundred members on our Frappr! map<http://www.frappr.com/phoenixlabs>, very cool! Go make your mark if you haven't already done so. We realize this is a privacy conscious community, so please don't use your real name o= r exact location if it bothers you. As always, we are happy to answer any questions in our forums<http://forums.phoenixlabs.org/>or our IRC channel <irc://irc.freenode.net/methlabs>. Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and thanks to all our users for keeping Phoenix Labs alive! -- Cory Nelson http://phoenixlabs.org http://www.int64.org |
