zoom preview of pages/thumbnails

to successfully sort pages from different pdfs to merge into a new pdf i often need the possibility to zoom the preview thumnails to know where i am (to see the page number, topic and so on), here's an application including those features (which is hardly usable for me though due to its slowness because of being implemented in java): http://jpdfmelange.berlios.de/
I think this would be a very useful feature. If pdf-shuffler is maximized even at 1024x768, thumbnails are so small that you can hardly imagine how to re-arrange pages, especially if there are no graphic objects, which you may use as "page markers". The most "progressive" would be zooming control, but if it is difficult to implement for now, I suggest 2 simpler ways: 1) control, which let you choose how many pages should be arranged horizontally or 2) just setting the default resonable zoom, which gives more or less readable (guessable) pages at resolution 1024x768 or higher.
it would be nice if you can zoom with the crtl+mouseweel.
Ctrl+Mousewheel zooming has been implemented recently in the current svn version and will be included in the next release of pdfshuffler.
thats cool..
It would also be nice to choose the quality of these thumbnails. I try to understand what the pages say, but it is very hard with this low quality. (demonstration: http://i.imgur.com/9WHIPmX.png )
