Platform: v3.39.1 on Windows

Drag and Drop of 'sub' Group to top level in tree does not work correctly when dropped on a top level Entry.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new db
  2. Add Group name g1
  3. Right click on g1 and Add Group g2
  4. Add a top level entry with title zzz
  5. Drag Group g2 unto entry zzz (This simulates what might happen trying to drag a group to the top level)

After step 5, the entry with title zzz remains (as it should), group g1 disappears from the tree view and a new group is created with the name 'zzz followed by the username in entry zzz in square brackets' and with the group structure of Group g1 underneath this group.

Note: 'Show Username in Tree View' is slected in Options.

Thanks for the detailed instructions on how to reproduce the problem. It always aids fixing the problem.

I believe I have now fixed this locally but needs further testing to ensure no adverse effects anywhere else.

    Release Notes states:
Dragging (copy or move) of an empty group onto a root entry now correctly places it in the root of the tree.

I believe I am seeing the same issue. I have made a problem record. Is this is same bug? The second group grows exponentially and then eventually disappears.

As indicated above, it has now been fixed back in July and will be in the next release.
