Why not move to git(hub) directly? It's so much faster and nicer to use than the super-slow SourceForge SVN (or CVS??). And it should be easy to import from the source there (to keep commit history etc.), e.g. mapping of CVS users against git users is supported AFAIK (you'd need to try & get the git emails of all contributors but that should not be too hard).
