Hi, during my study of computer graphics, especially in ray tracing, I always encounter numerical analysis topics. For the numerical analysis, I know there is the famous online book <<Numerical Recipes>> at http://www.nr.com/, and the NetLib at http://www.netlib.org/. Are there other good resources? By the way, it seems that panotools uses Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm to do the nonlinear optimization. Some books said that for a nonlinear optimization problem, Levenberg-Marquardt is the standard algorithm. However, in order to use the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, one should express a nonlinear problem into some formats (like sum of squares of nonlinear functions). Does anyone know panotools how to express the nonlinear optimization problem? And it seems that panotools uses some files from netlib. What is the function of f2c.h? Best regards Yili Zhao |
