Recently added forums for projects should benefit to be
present on the home page of each project, at least the
recent items. Forums is a very good free-form
collaboration tool but it's rather deep away inside the
navigation.
That's a known issue - we're currently in development stage
with forums - when they will mature enough, all comments
everywhere will be replaced by forums.

Second that! I believe that the project home should contain
briefs on what's "hot" for the project at the moment. Such as
forum activity, documents added, weekly progress, next
deadline, resolved/new requests, gantt charts for team-
members or similar.
The above examples are mostly existing functionality from
other places in OPT, but I regard them as "detailed" reports
with edit options. The project home should be like
an "executive report" on what's happening for this project,
which is then read only and only shows info which is relevant
for the timespan that people normally live in (this/next week).
My 2 cents.
