Yes, I started having this exact problem for the last several days. Everything was working fine for several months (only an occasional error), but Google Contacts syncing now aborts every time--15+ times a day.

    Windows 10
    Outlook 2010
    CalDavSynchronizer 4.1.0

Hi, I have the same problem from a few days with CaDav unable to complete "Contact sync" (Outlook <-> Google).
    "Calendar sync" is ok.

    Windows 10 (20H2)
    Outlook 2010
    CalDavSynchronizer 4.1.0.0

Maybe there was some update on the Google side that causes incompatibility with CalDav?

    Thanks for your help.

    Dear all,
I have the same problem, which is really annoying. Is there any solution planned or what do I have to do to get Contacts sync working with Outlook Caldav Snchronizer? I'm using Outlook for Microsoft 365.

    Thanks for any further support.

It appears that Google changed their Contacts syncing API on June 15, 2021, and the problems began being reported in this and other threads shortly thereafter. I haven't seen any response from the developers after nearly six weeks, though, so I am wondering whether this tool for sycning Outlook to Google will no longer be supported. Does anybody know of any other tools out there that can do this?

Sorry, I guess the problem was acknowledged in another thread on July 1, 2021, but it is unclear whether or when it can be fixed.

There are a couple of others that do sync between outlook and google contacts. However, I looked at one that claimed to be using the new Google People API and when I looked at the Tickets section, there were quite a few complaints of bugs.
I see that Outlook4Gmail looks pretty good. I tested their Free version (that does contacts only) and it works fine.

I was very happy with this one until this hiccup. I'm hoping they can get it migrated over. I'm a developer but have no experience with CalDav/Card/Dav so can't help them.

Thanks, Walt. I am going to switch to Outlook4Gmail for contacts for now and check in periodically to see if the contacts sync in CalDav Synchronizer ever gets fixed.

If you are urgent to sync your outlook to google contacts, why don't you try officeplugin s/w which provides really free option:
    https://www.officeplugin.com/en/
Of course, it can synchronize google calendar as well as google contacts.

    Enjoy it.

Such a shame when a brilliant little tool like this just dies. I had high hopes for the future with the release of v4, but it seems to have gone very quiet recently with this June issue that is still lingering :-( Looks like I'll be spending my weekend looking for an alternative :-(

All, I was having this same issue. I decided to try and reset the contact profile and re-authenticate. I did not remove the profile i just switched from google api and back. tested the connection and it reported ok. I then tested a sync and IT WORKED. Hope this helps.

      That didn’t work for me.

I still get the same errors

Tried flipping back and forth a coupole of times.

      “Test Connection” but sync fails

Maybe something different about your profile setup

I had used GO Contact Sync Mod for several years, and then I transitioned to CalDAV Synchronizer for the last couple of years, and then, when this Contacts syncing problem arose, I started using a combination of CalDAV Synchronizer (for Calendar syncing) with Outlook4Gmail (for Contacts syncing). It seems like all of these little syncing tools come and go. So, I just made the decision to stop using Outlook, and I have switched to using Thunderbird, which now has the built-in ability to sync both Calendars and Contacts--and I don't get all of the errors/warnings that I always used to get with the Outlook tools. I am hoping that Thunderbird will continue to be updated to keep up with any changes made by Google. It does everything that Outlook was doing.
