David,
One comment about this. (sorry about the delay- on a mission to finally
read/answer all my summer email)
A few of the early OSCAR offices-Pemberton, Bayswater started out by
putting PAP recalls in the tickler. It worked at first and then it
became apparent that they completely clogged up the tickler so that more
important reminders get lost in between these routine recalls. We have
all switched to using the prevention module for our recalls. I am
surprised that your prevention module doesn't hold the next date or turn
red when the PAP is due. Ours does. Patti-is yours working in Pemby?
Maybe our office manager Nancy or Patti can walk you through it, but it
should work. Also over time Jay has been adding features to the
prevention recall list. I think now in Ontario they are using it to
produce reminder letters. It might be worth switching back to prevention
as the recall features will likely continue to improve over time. (we
are hoping one day to improve the way it tracks recall phone calls)

Subject: Re: [Oscarmcmaster-bc-users] Consultant services
Can someone tell me how to remove a service from the consultant list?
Say I have added Allergy and want to remove:
I go to "Con" on the Appt sheet and click edit specialists.
I then click delete service check the appropriate service and delete.
No problem, service no longer on that list.
However when I go to a patient eChart and make a new consultation, under
services, the deleted service is still showing????
Another question, when we record PAPs under preventions, it asks for Set
next date: we do this but it doesn't appear to remember this date(if I
later go into the PAP field I can't find this date) and the PAP does not
change color to red as it should when the next is due- I think we are
using ticklers because of this-which is better as we can then recall the
patients.
