Hi All In a week or 2 we are releasing our Oscar Fax Service. You don't need Hylafax to receive or send fax from Oscar. You don't need any hardware to send fax. Your fax will be received in to the inbox. We also OCR the fax image and scan for the PHN/HIN and the request doctor. if the PHN/HIN is available (with 95% and above accuracy) we will attach the information to the patient demographic. If we are sure of the requested physician we will move the document to the inbox of the doctor. Else you will do the attachment and move it to the doctors inbox as usual. You can as well upload document for faxing from other sources, not only from oscar. You only need to connect to our server and your fax will be transfer both ways securely. The waiting time for upload/fax is 0 second. The client program is free for download and will be release soon. The only condition is all documents must be in PDF format. As far as I can see, there's no information about fax receive configuration in Oscar documentation. So anyways, I could figure out a way to do that with Hylafax successfully (using a FaxDispatch script to: 1- Convert the fax from tiff to pdf, 2- Move and timestamp document to OscarDocuments. 3- Change its permission to tomcat6. 4- Update the relevant mysql tables). Now I need to figure out a similar process for internet faxing settings. Does any of you set up a similar thing before, and where is a good starting point to do this?
