Hi Jel,
We are very happy with Ubuntu Linux. Being Linux novice, I have found the learning curve faster than expected. One myth that was rapidly dismissed is that one doesn't have to be a "programmer" to run Ubuntu Linux.
We have one computer running Windows XP Pro in our network to run the Scanner (VIsioneer Strobe XP 450) and Windows XP does seem a little slower actually.
Most happy with Ubuntu Linux 7.10 version, CD ordered for free!
Cheers,
Marcel

Hi Marcel
How are you finding Ubuntu on the desktop. I think I have said before that
we use it in Pemberton. I had to use Windows for Simply Accounting the
other day (not my choice) - and I hated the speed - and it wouldn't let me
delete large files/directories - and I had to wait for the antivirus to
finish doing its rather prolonged thing. So, although we can't have voice
dictation yet on Linux we are staying on it.
...so just wondering what your experiences are.
Cheers
