-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Everyone, I'm happy to announce that version 0.6.294 of the OpenXDAS project has been released today. This version includes the following changes: * An enhanced netstream logger, that has the beginnings of SSL code in order to handle encrypted data streams. While this change doesn't affect users directly, it does show our direction with the netstream logger. The next release will have full encryption. * Documentation has been enhanced for this release. * The Win32 side of the system logger has been much enhanced to properly submit the XDAS record as the text log entry, rather than the associated binary data, as has been done in previous releases. This should make auto-parsers much happier with XDAS records found in the the Win32 event logs. * The java client class is now in the correct name space. * Both the C and Java clients now support the extended OpenXDAS events (currently being added to the new XDAS standard as part of the Update-XDAS initiative sponsored by Novell and the Open Group Security Forum. These events include authentication material modification, workflow and role management events. * We're now taking full advantage of the OpenSuSE Build Service (OBS) at http://software.opensuse.org/search Enter "openxdas" in the search dialog and select your desired platform, or select "all" to find out which platforms are currently available. We're working every day to get new platforms added, so don't be discouraged if you don't find your's in the list. Where to get it... ================== Please visit the openxdas web site download and documentation pages at http://openxdas.sourceforge.net/download.html http://openxdas.sourceforge.net/documentation.html to find links for downloading this new version and it's associated documentation. Enjoy!
