When I installed the evo2 plugin I find that the evo2_sync.h file is locate in /usr/include/opensync-1.0/opensync :/usr/include/opensync-1.0/opensync$ ls evo2_sync.h opensync_context.h opensync_error.h opensync_member.h file.h opensync_convert.h opensync_filter.h opensync_plugin.h opensync_anchor.h opensync_convreg.h opensync_group.h opensync-xml-contact.h opensync_changecmds.h opensync_debug.h opensync.h opensync-xml.h opensync_change.h opensync_env.h opensync_hashtable.h however after installing the syncml plugin the syncml. h file is located in /usr/local/include/libsyncml-1.0/libsyncml/syncml.h Is this why msynctool is finding the evo2 plugin but not the syncml plugin? Welcome. Hmm.. the only thing I could imagine here now is that your msynctool sits in /usr/local/bin, while the plugins are in /usr/lib. If so, just compile multisync also with ./configure --prefix=/usr && make && make install /tobi Am Donnerstag, den 09.03.2006, 14:07 +0000 schrieb Jim Maas: > Thanks again Tobi! > > Making progress here, got all to compile and install > > make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-exec-am'. > test -z "/usr/share/opensync/defaults" || mkdir -p -- . > "/usr/share/opensync/defaults" > /usr/bin/install -c -m 644 'syncml-http-server' > '/usr/share/opensync/defaults/syncml-http-server' > /usr/bin/install -c -m 644 'syncml-obex-client' > '/usr/share/opensync/defaults/syncml-obex-client' > test -z "/usr/lib/opensync/plugins" || mkdir -p -- . > "/usr/lib/opensync/plugins" > /bin/sh ../libtool --mode=install /usr/bin/install -c > 'syncml_plugin.la' '/usr/lib/opensync/plugins/syncml_plugin.la' > /usr/bin/install -c .libs/syncml_plugin.so > /usr/lib/opensync/plugins/syncml_plugin.so > /usr/bin/install -c .libs/syncml_plugin.lai > /usr/lib/opensync/plugins/syncml_plugin.la > PATH="$PATH:/sbin" ldconfig -n /usr/lib/opensync/plugins > > > > however still can not see plugins? You can choose whatever you like there but the names must match for the syncml tools and the phone. For syncml over http, you can normally enter the database name on the phone as well. so just make sure that you use the same for the phone and the tool. for syncml over obex, you normally have to use the exact same name as the phone which is normally fixed depending on phone model and manufacturer. I guess it is possible here to add support to libsyncml to accept any database name, but i have to take a closer look at this. Armin > > Thanks! > Norm > |

Which version of libsoup have you got? With the latest CVS sources you do not need the patch any more, although it is stated in the Howto. The patch does not even apply cleanly any more. /tobi Am Donnerstag, den 09.03.2006, 13:06 +0000 schrieb Jim Maas: > I'm following the instructions for using the synml plugin ... and > haveing troubel with libsoup. > > I think I patched it correctly but get this when compiling .... have I > not done the patch correctly or is this something else? > > Thanks > > Jim > > .c -MT soup-address.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/soup-address.TPlo -fPIC -DPIC > -o .libs/soup-address.o > soup-address.c:401: error: conflicting types for > 'soup_address_resolve_async' > soup-address.h:80: error: previous declaration of > 'soup_address_resolve_async' was here > make[3]: *** [soup-address.lo] Error 1 > make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/jamaas/downloads/libsoup/libsoup' > make[2]: *** [all] Error 2 > make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/jamaas/downloads/libsoup/libsoup' > make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/jamaas/downloads/libsoup' > make: *** [all] Error 2 > > > This message has been checked for viruses but the contents of an attachment > may still contain software viruses, which could damage your computer system: > you are advised to perform your own checks. We have a misunderstanding here: 1. remove everything related to opensync from /usr/include and /usr/local/include directories 2. compile opensync by running ./configure --prefix=3D/usr && make && mak= e install 3. check timestamp of files in /usr/include/opensync-1.0 4. compile multisync by running ./configure --prefix=3D/usr && make && make install Hope that clarifies things.. /tobi Am Mittwoch, den 08.03.2006, 15:52 +0000 schrieb Jim Maas: > Tried this and it is still not finding the opensync >=20 > /usr/local/include/opensync-1.0 > /usr/local/include/opensync-1.0/opensync > /usr/local/include/opensync-1.0/opensync/opensync.h > /usr/local/include/opensync-1.0/opensync/opensync_env.h > /usr/local/include/opensync-1.0/opensync/opensync_plugin.h > /usr/local/include/opensync-1.0/opensync/opensync_group.h > /usr/local/include/opensync-1.0/opensync/opensync_member.h > /usr/local/include/opensync-1.0/opensync/opensync_change.h >=20 > now exists >=20 > so run configure >=20 > jamaas@psbjim01:~/downloads/multisync-0.90.18$ ./configure=20 > --prefix=3D/usr/local/include > checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c > checking whether build environment is sane... yes > checking for gawk... no > checking for mawk... mawk > checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes >=20 > .... >=20 > checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes > checking for PACKAGE... yes > configure: creating ./config.status > config.status: creating Makefile > config.status: creating tools/Makefile > config.status: creating misc/multisync.spec > config.status: creating config.h > config.status: config.h is unchanged > config.status: executing depfiles commands >=20 >=20 > and it works fine, then try make and get .... >=20 >=20 > config.status: config.h is unchanged > config.status: executing depfiles commands > jamaas@psbjim01:~/downloads/multisync-0.90.18$ make > make all-recursive > make[1]: Entering directory `/home/jamaas/downloads/multisync-0.90.18' > Making all in tools > make[2]: Entering directory `/home/jamaas/downloads/multisync-0.90.18/t= ools' > if gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I/usr/include/glib-2.0=20 > -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/include/opensync-1.0 -Wall -Werror=20 > -I.. -g -O2 -MT msynctool.o -MD -MP -MF ".deps/msynctool.Tpo" -c -o=20 > msynctool.o msynctool.c; \ > then mv -f ".deps/msynctool.Tpo" ".deps/msynctool.Po"; else rm -f=20 > ".deps/msynctool.Tpo"; exit 1; fi > msynctool.c:22:31: error: opensync/opensync.h: No such file or director= y > msynctool.c:23:29: error: osengine/engine.h: No such file or directory > msynctool.c:42: error: syntax error before =E2=80=98manual=E2=80=99 > cc1: warnings being treated as errors > msynctool.c:42: warning: type defaults to =E2=80=98int=E2=80=99 in decl= aration of =E2=80=98manual=E2=80=99 > msynctool.c:42: warning: data definition has no type or storage class > msynctool.c:82: error: syntax error before =E2=80=98*=E2=80=99 token > msynctool.c: In function =E2=80=98display_groups=E2=80=99: > msynctool.c:85: error: =E2=80=98OSyncGroup=E2=80=99 undeclared (first u= se in this function) >=20 >=20 > any idea why it can't find opensync? >=20 > Thanks >=20 > Jim >=20 >=20 > mailinglists wrote: >=20 > >If you have both, I would guess that /usr/include/opensync-1.0 is a ol= d > >version from a previous install and /usr/local/include/opensync-1.0 is > >the one you just installed. If you have both, I would guess that /usr/include/opensync-1.0 is a old version from a previous install and /usr/local/include/opensync-1.0 is the one you just installed. Please check with ls -l the install date. Please see http://libsyncml.opensync.org/wiki/obex-guide for complete command examples, you should only replace "-u 0" with the "-b 00:12:62:F3:48:6C 11". > My phone is a 6681. What I mean by "must also be released under this license" is that if you link to BlueZ, you can't use libsyncml as LGPL anymore, so either* you also release it under GPL or make bluez linkage optional at compilation time. Of course, the code can still be LGPL so that someone can recompile it manually without linking to bluez, but since libsyncml will be redistributed (by linux distros, for example) and considered a standard library, I believe it's a good idea to have the licensing terms clearly defined. * possibilities such as releasing BlueZ under LGPL, etc not cosidered for simplicity :-) Cheers, - Ademar -- Ademar de Souza Reis Jr. Mandriva Conectiva - http://www.mandriva.com.br ^[:wq! |

A call of "syncml-http-server" and syncing vcards/vcal works fine. But testing the syncml-plugin results in an error: Received a entry vcal.vcs without data from member 1. Changetype ADDED Member 1 of type file-sync just sent all changes Received a entry vcal.vcs with data of size 24 from member 1.
