Presentation Helper won't close on press of escape or clicking the close button intermittently (meaning sometimes it closes). When it will not, you must force quit to get out. Is there a problem with the fact that we just imported our former library from our powerPC mac to this newer intel-based one?

For me, it usually works fine the first time, but if you go into a presentation mode, escape, then try to go back in, it hangs and requires a force quit. I'm on Yosemite.
I'm using v2.1.2 on Mac OS X Yosemite and still seeing the problem. We too are using old OpenSong files from v1.x that have been kept through OpenSong upgrades.
It's pretty reproducible in this manner:
1. Open OpenSong (mine defaults opening to Sets)
2. Select a Set.
3. Present -> Preview Dual Screen
4. Click "(Esc) Return"
5. Present -> Preview Dual Screen
At this time, the preview screen doesn't show up, but the secondary panel does. And clicking "(Esc) Return" does not do anything. You can Cmd+Q the secondary panel, but the state of the main OpenSong window still seems to be in present mode (a lot of the buttons are greyed out, and quitting OpenSong doesn't work - have to force quit).
I can also reproduce this issue using the real "Dual Screen" present mode instead of Preview. However, Single Screen is working fine.
I hope this helps in your debugging of the issue. If there's any further information you'd like, I'd be happy to assist.
Further update to this: I was using OpenSongOSX.app to reproduce the issue. It seems that if I use OpenSongOSX-Cocoa.app, this issue does not exist.
Is there any information on what the difference is between these two apps? (follow up to https://sourceforge.net/p/opensong/support-requests/142/)
Same problem here. When I go to Preview Dual Screen, Put some scripture, exit preview mode, and relaunch Preview Dual Screen, the "preview screen" doesn't show up and I cannot exit the presentation window anymore. I'm running 2.1.2 and OSX El Capitan. See video as attachment.
A related problem I just discovered :
If I Do :
-> Set Mode
-> Open Random Set and do Preview Dual Screen
-> Insert Some scripure
-> Press the exit button
-> I get this every time :

I'm facing the same problem as the OP and Dennis T. Using El Capitan and Sierra (2 separate Macs). Looking forward to a fix making this more stable! :) But I have loved OpenSong for years!!

I don't know for the others, but for me, using the cocoa version does not produce this bug :)
I can reproduce it using the published V2.1.2 build, but I can't reproduce it in the debugger. This may be one of these issues we sometimes have where the Xojo runtime is responsible and a newer version fixes it. Please contact me offline and I will direct you to a development build I have for testing. swampcat (at) users.sourceforge.net
