Developers, I'm going to make some effort to update the content on the OpenSLP web site. This is actually fairly simple to do now, because I've added a cron job to update the website from the SVN repository once a day (sometime in the middle of the night). It used to be painful, because I'd have to remember each time how to update from the web site manually. It's not really difficult, but it does involve process that I don't do every day, so I have to read the directions each time. (And finding the appropriate documentation on SF.NET is no easy task either!) My request: Please update the developer page with whatever personal information you desire. Add your picture and a short bio if you want - or simply reply to me that you don't want to do this, if that's your wish. I'm going to move all of the old developers' information to an "emeritus" section of that page. I want to ensure we give credit to those early developers, but I don't want to clutter up the developer page with out-of-date information either. You can find the website in the openslp repository under the openslp.web module. If you just check out the svn trunk (which you may have already done anyway), it will come down along with the Java, C, and contribution modules. Just make your mods, and check them in like any other change. Please don't forget that pictures should be added as binary objects - SVN does a better job of this than CVS did, so you probably don't even need to pay attention to this issue. Thanks, John |
