if ur building over the ossphone code then either u can edit it to make it look like a proper softphone and im very much interested in it as i think it would be more useful if the ossphone was atleast made to work like a dialer rather than everything on the same form. |

Hi Ron, Whats the value of your SIP-Timer-H parameter in OpenSBC-General-Parameters? It normally defaults to 32 seconds which is higher than the 30 second Alerting-Timeout. If you want the INVITE to failover, you need to set the value of SIP-Timer-H to something like 8 seconds or you could set the Seize and Alerting timeout with higher values. I notice a problem in opensbc Version: 1.1.5-4 that it doesn't try the failover route if the first route do not respond with any error message from its SIP Invite. Sample static route below [sip:8004466513*] sip:70.42.72.57,sip:70.42.72.165 Attach file: failover1 file -> opensbc fails to route the call to 2nd route. It just keep resending SIP Invite 3 times and disconnects the call. failover3 file -> opensbc reroute the call to failover route. This is after first route sends 487 error. Regards Ron |

I assume you are referring to ITU G.729 reference implementation? I am not sure about your motivation. May I ask why you want to use the none optimized version of G.729 as against using Voice Age G.729 which is equally free for personal/none-commercial use? Anyway, if you want to proceed in using the ITU implementation, the fastest way is to modify G729codec.cxx and G729codec.h to call the ITU encode and decode methods instead of voice age. I must warn that even if ITU gives away the source code it doesn't mean you are free to use it. You must still comply with the licensing requirements for the codec. Decoder is -> BOOL Opal_G729_PCM::ConvertFrame(const BYTE * src, BYTE * dst) Encoder is -> BOOL Opal_PCM_G729::ConvertFrame(const BYTE * src, BYTE * dst) Joegen haripriya alapati wrote: > > We are not having voice age G729. We are not having voice age G729. We have compiled G.729 source files. In this case how can i do integration?? Is this what you are referring to by any chance? Yes,I think so. In the UpperReg section, I have checked the boxes to rewrite the from and to domain. I also added the "domain=xyz.de" parameter. Here is the entry from the UpperReg section: [sip:*@xyz.net] sip:sip.abc.net;domain=sip.abc.net > > > > > The softswitch therfore replies with an > "SIP/2.0 403 Forbidden AOR". > > > >> By softswitch do you mean your registrar? Can you double check if it >> isn't OpenSBC that generated this 403 locally? the forbidden AOR is generated by the registrar. That's because the OpenSBC does not rewrite the from and to domain name. > > > If I find some time during the day, I will dig into it, do a little bit > more debugging and let you know what I have found. > > > >> Explaining your setup using a ladder diagram plus level 5 log MAY tell >> us more what went wrong. The reason is that we have a couple of resellers which offer the service to their customers and therefore want to have their own branding for the service. In previous versions of the OpenSBC, this setup worked well. The client sent the register, the OpenSBC replaced the domain "sip.xyz.net" with "sip.abc.net", the authentication took place and we were able to make phonecalls. I would appreciate an advise where to look first in order to find the problem. Is it voice age G.729 or another G.729 codec implementation? If it's voice age, all you need to do is copy the the voice age library and header file in opensipstack\external\Codecs and do a clean rebuild. Configure script will do everything for you. haripriya alapati wrote: > > Hi, > I want to integrate G729 Codec in OpenSIPStack Code. > Can any one help me how can i do that integration?? i tried it and it works fine without errors but i was trying to configure the sip trunk but the xml i paste in the sip trunk box in the web gui and click save then even after i restart opensbc, the box shows empty with just <root> and nothing else, it doesnt save the sip trunk config. is this part of the upper registration not working. one more thing, while compiling the source, the 2 xml files are copied into the release folder but the prompts etc r not copied so basically they need to be added to the project so that they get copied to the release folder. |
