Dear all,
During the last months, the openPOWERLINK developers have worked hard on quality improvements of the openPOWERLINK stack. The main goals were to carry out intensive tests on various platforms and to fix all found bugs.
openPOWERLINK 2.0.2 now comes with the following changes:
Dear all,
we are happy to announce the final release of openPOWERLINK 2.0.1!
No new features are introduced within this version. It contains only fixes and optimizations as well as some backported features from V1.8.4.
After an extended beta and testing phase, we are happy to announce the final
release of openPOWERLINK 2.0.0!
The main changes of the new version are a fully restructured and documented
source code base that simplifies getting started with the POWERLINK technology.
While still maintaining compatibility with previous versions, the modularity of
the stack has been improved and the application-near "user part" (stack library)
has been cleanly separated from the time critical "kernel part" (stack driver).
This step allows moving the realtime part to a dedicated communication processor
(e.g. in an FPGA) or into a Linux kernel module, thus delivering high
performance while keeping the stack API in user-space and therefore application
development as simple as possible.... read more
