When trying to figure out how to create a configuration with multiplexed timeslots I got reminded that openPowerlink currently does not support multiplexed timeslots on the MN.
Are there any plans to implement this feature in an upcoming version of openPowerlink, and/or what are the missing pieces that would require an overhaul in order to support multiplexed timeslots on the MN?
Thank you in advance and best regards, Clemens
PS: I've read about "EPSG 302-D Extension Part D: Multiple PReq/PRes" which seems like another way to solve some special requirements that came to our attention. What is the preferred way to get access to these standard extensions?

Adding multiplexing support to the openPOWERLINK MN is not on our roadmap. So far, it has never been requested by any user yet. What's your use-case for multiplexing?
Without looking further into the topic, I assume that there are several places at which code has to be added. Mainly, the dllk will be affected and some management objects should be added to the OD. Probably also other parts of the stack require adaptations such as the pdo module or the error handling mechanisms...
Regarding the specifications, you'll get full access to all papers (including work-in-progress documents) when becoming a member of the EPSG. After logging in to the website, you'll find the documents then in the download section.
Best regards,
Wolfgang

Our Use-Case would be to allow sending status-broadcasts (MN Pres) with 4x the frequency compared to what would be possible without multiplexing (instead of polling 16 nodes within a single cycle, we would like to poll 4x4 mulitplexed nodes).
Thanks for the pointer regarding EPSG membership.
