Marc, I think JMX is your friend here, have you tried that? The net-snmp agent will only help you monitor the Java process name, similar to what would normally be returned with "ps -e" (see http://www.net-snmp.org/docs/man/snmpd.conf.html). That won't tell you anything about the arguments passed to Java when it runs. The Host resources MIB does tell you what parameters a process has been started with (hrSWRunParameters) but I can't see how you would know which row in the hrSWRunTable table you want. I normal would configure the snmp.conf file on the host and put proc "process" and openms would pick it up afer I modify the poller and capsd xml files.
