Hi Oliver,

I assume by your post that you went into Admin --> Configure Users and
Groups, and did a password reset for the Admin user, entered the new
password (x2), then pressed Finish on the previous screen...and the password
didn't change?  Is this the problem you observed?

One thing to note, you may need to completely close your browser and / or
clear your browser cache or you will automatically login again as
admin/admin when you open the OpenNMS gui.

The other thing to note, if you want to create a new user and give that user
Admin rights, simply create the users and add them to the admin list
(separated by commas) at the bottom of the magic-users.properties file in
/opt/OpenNMS/etc or  /usr/local/opennms or wherever your OpenNMS config
files live.
