Things have been percolating for a while, and it's time to release a bunch of new stuff. First of all, at http://openipmi.sf.net, I have uploaded a new document to help users of IPMI and OpenIPMI. Take a look. It is very rough, but I believe it contains a lot of useful information about IPMI in general and OpenIPMI in specific. When it is finished, I hope it will alleviate the need to have to look at the IPMI spec. Second, I have lots of driver updates. See the Sourceforge release page for these. Lastly, I have uploaded library version 1.4.1 as an experimental version. This has reworked the locking code so that locks are not held in user callbacks. It also includes the previously reference document. It has some interface updates (as I wrote the document I found inconsistencies here and there) but should be fully backwards compatible with the 1.3 releases. Enjoy! -Corey PS - There are some people working on IPMI 2.0 RMCP+ LAN code, so that may be coming soon. PPS - If anyone wants to work on the document to flesh it out, please contact me. There are lots of sections to work on. |
