We use gaim (I've tested opengaim and will probably
start using it soon) only for our internal network. Every
time I add a new user (new employee) to the network I
have to sit there and add 50 users manually! That part I
can script, one of these days, but it would be great to
have a client side options to auto authorize all incoming
requests for adding you to someone elses list, and in
turn automatically adding that user to your own list.

myjabber has this, but myjabber was causing to many
questions from our users, so I switched to gaim. :-)

I just took a peek at myjabber..good thing I switched
they've made it pay only after 30 days if you not using
the chat server.

And it's options i'm looking for here are called.

Would implementing an import/export fix this problem as well.

It doesn't address the request per say, but it may be
another way to reach the desired solution for this problem
    making the request obsolete?

Yes, this would be helpful. But not helpful as the features my
    rquest provides.

If your idea was implemented I would either have to logon as
50 users, one by one, and import/export within each account,
or I would have to email the list, to 50 people, and expect
them to be able to follow the instructions on how to
    import/export.
