OpenGaim 0.76a Released

This release of OpenGaim incorporates the enhancements and fixes from both Gaim 0.76 and OpenGaim 0.75b and 0.75c. It is available in source and Win32 installer form.

OpenGaim 0.75c Released

OpenGaim is a multiprotocol instant messaging client for X-Windows and MS-Windows. It is a spinoff of the popular Gaim project, and works much the same way as Gaim does today, but with an enriched feature set.

Version 0.75c was released this weekend, and includes some recently requested features for Gaim. As with 0.75b, this version does have a working Yahoo! Messenger protocol module and an important security fix over the baseline Gaim 0.75.... read more

OpenGaim 0.75b Released

OpenGaim, a multiprotocol instant messaging client for X-Windows and MS-Windows, was launched this week as a spinoff of the popular Gaim project. It works much the same way as Gaim does today, but will be enriched with additional configurability in the near future. Additionally, OpenGaim will strive to release stable sources and binary packages on a fast schedule in order to address immediate problems or severe bugs, so that building from source code (particularly on MS-Windows) is not typically needed.... read more
