Hello, I am a neurosurgeon and trying to build my eeg and learn some signal analysis, I am not used to yahoo groups and can not find older e mails in group, so can someone point me to a source where i can learn what to do step by step? I have a little electronics experience trough arduino and some python (built my own ml model to read CT images). If you have any questions regarding the brain i will gladly help. Please feel free to ask anything. Cheers |

If you're asking about the PC end then Olimex state that the AVR-PG1B won't work with a USB/serial adapter. Hi, if you mean the programming end, then the USBASP ribbon cable connects directly to the ten pin connector on the digital board - no need of a D-sub connector. The programming pinout is supposed to be standard although you might want to check those on your programmer against the eeg schematic just to be sure. Hello, i just finished both the modular and digital eeg boards. I need to perform pre-power up test and go through the process of getting the boards programmed. The website is suggesting AVR-PG1B in order to program the board, I am wondering if we can use an as an ISP to do the initial programming. Has anyone tried this are there any videos out there that can be used ? You can read the input from both channels over the serial USB line (/dev/ttyUSB0 or something). There are synchronisation messages in each packet (somerhing around 15 lines), and some more info whose meaning I can't remember. But basically what you need is the value of the channels in this specific frame. They might each come over two lines, least significant and most significant bytes. They should be the only ones that change over succeeding packets, except for the packet number, which should increment from one to the next. Then, you can do whatever you want with that. Should be sampled at 256Hz, which is quite enough for EEG. Let us know if you can't make it out, I may give further explanations if needed. Haven't used it for a while, but it's not far away, physically speaking :-) Good luck ! Hi, I am interested to learn more on neurofeedback implementation in some of the programming languages like C++ or other. Also I am interested in Hemencephalography neurofeedback with both methods pIR and nIR. Anyone can give more insights on these topics? Like where to start with this? |

Hi, I don't know how active it is but I have been building one. The pcbs are still available from Olimex and my unit is proceeding nicely (I just have to box it all up and try attaching it to my head!). The original microprocessor would be difficult to locate - I used an Atmega88PA successfully with some alterations to the firmware. No point using RS232 now since few computers have a port so I used a cheap TTL to USB converter from Ebay without any difficulty. It would also be quite possible to use an Arduino instead of the digital board I should think. I have successfully used BrainBay to display waveforms and FFTs using a signal from the onboard calibration point. -Hello I am an electronics/computer technician. I am very interested in building my own Modular EEG machine for the purposes of Neuro-Feedback Training. -I have the BOM from the Open EEG page however I am having a difficult time finding the components that are on the parts list. - I have even done searches to find the parts by copying and pasting on google with no luck of finding the exact components; mainly IC chips, IC sockets, Capacitors etc... I have attempted to visit the links provided with most of them down or no longer selling these components. Can some one point me in the right direction please. Thank you |

My interest in obtaining an diy EEG. I am interested in brain mapping and training the executive functions of my brain using (HEG). The EEG position of the training I would like to embark on centers around the limbic system. I have read the Bill of Materials and seen the order forms but I feel they are kind vague and challenging to use. I would like some help in acquiring the correct parts etc. with the right ESR's etc... If some one could help me I would truly great full. Ryan |

You can build it yourself, but it won't be much cheaper than buying EEG-SMT from olimex. I built it for approximately 80€ and they are selling it for 99€. Although nowadays you can build it with newer, better and cheaper instrumentation amplifiers, but the price won't be much less than 70€. For your purposes I think it would be the best to buy EEG-SMT and build electrodes customized for your purposes, or you can buy them too. Damian, I don't feel like actively modifying it - as a matter of fact, I'd just buy myself one if it wasn't for the price. I'd like to have interface sending EEG waves to computer as I'd like to play around with brain-computer interface. 2018-05-05 9:24 GMT+02:00 Damián Filo <nog...@gm...>: > Of course, I shared them earlier in this mailing list, but there they are: > https://mega.nz/#!JYQmgBZL!6P4nx13fcZs2gp65YZh18EGrOVqUzArJv753gL5m9bw > > And active/passive electrode design: > https://mega.nz/#!wIAlCTZB!tH0taCWwHF5ZlI8RyFEr9yPLsufN0bUecjneTWp54go > > Dňa so 5. 5. 2018, 8:22 Deus Omnipotens <fer...@gm...> > napísal(a): > >> Damian, >> Do you mind sharing your schematics?
