[Openeeg-list] pullup resistor help

hi my open source PCEEG is using analog devices ad5204 digitaly controled potentiometers on a chip. They are programmed serialy and say a pullup resistor is needed inbetween the pins. One is working great, the second is off by a strange ammount of error Im wondering if the pullup on the clock line is too big or small any sugjestions or info about pullups?
