Error: Your nick was already taken...

I sometimes get so high download speed from a certain
user that all other internet traffic is interupted. This also
mean that I get disconnected from all hubs.
If I try to reconnect when the bandwidth comsuming
download has finished, I get this error:
"Your nick was already taken, please change to
something else!"
This occurs in hubs running version 0.7.14 of Open DC
Hub.
I've been able to log in from another computer and I find
the first user still online, even though this user is
obviously not online.
There is no use in simply changing the nick. The same
error pops up.
Somehow the user list must be refreshed more often, or
something.

The problem lies in a too long ping timeout. It simply takes
too long for the hub program to realize the user has been
disconnected.
