Open Camera App API2 Video Doesn't Work On Samsung A175G Phone Model...

Open Camera (v1.56.2) using API2 will take Photos but in Video mode it says "Serious Camera Error". The inbuilt camera app is not running. It works OK with API1. I don't think I need amy of the features available in API2, so maybe this is just a bug report.

Well, I'll write about this version too 1.56.2. Something's wrong, because when I have Camera2 API set up and select “camera preview” and then select “Preview size - maximum for screen size,” what I see on the screen is a grid of tiny squares at the lowest resolution—scaled up to the screen size—and I see this on 3 different smartphones. But on 2 others, there’s no such issue.
You can see this in Photo mode, but in Video mode it suddenly works fine
The latest twist in this saga - using API1 it now says "Failed to record video" whatever that means. I can't believe I'm the only person trying to use Open Camera on a Samsung A17.
