Finally on aa Samsung phone that has aa stylus II have the option to use the camera app of my choosing from the lock screen. My problem is that all Open Camera can do ATM is to open the prompt for unlocking the phone. Could the permission be added to bypass the login & just take pictures without unlocking the phone?

Just to check, is Settings/More camera controls/"Show camera when locked" enabled?
Open Camera supports the intents IMAGE_CAPTURE_SECURE and STILL_IMAGE_CAMERA_SECURE which is meant to be for this, but it doesn't seem to work on all devices (it works as expected on my Nexuses, but not my OnePlus 3T). Does it work properly for other third party camera applications?

I'm having this issue on a Samsung Galaxy S9. I've verified that that option is enabled, but assigning Open Camera to a lockscreen shortcut & swiping up simply prompts to unlock the phone.
Any possible workaround?
