It would be good if there was a way to stop the app going into the setup screens by accidental touches on the main preview screen. I've missed a few good shots because I have to get back to preview from setup.
Being able to lock Zoom would be good too.

Hello Ron, for video recording there is "Lock screen when recording video" -setting, and it is there for good reason.
But for camera, IMO, there really is no need for such lock since one can get out of the settings menu [☸] and as well as from the configuration dialog [︙] with just a one single tap (also, when the configuration dialog [︙] is visible the shot can be taken). If there would be a lock for photography mode, then unlocking wold consume one tap, and locking again would consume another tap.
IMO, for devices that do not have the optical zoom, the digital zoom is useful for video recording, but not at all for photography .Digital zoom in fact axes out the possibilities before the fact. When just taking pictures at 1x zoom (so no digital zoom at all), one can then easily crop and scale the picture after the fact, when there is time to choose and redo, so, at the time of shooting the photographer need not to fiddle with zoom control but just only concentrate on shooting.
