Yep, another of these. Pictures taken with DRO turned on and with the Camera in Camera2 API mode have nasty-looking splotchy-ness all over. It's not really correct to call it noise, in the sense that it's not consistent even in uniform areas of the picture, so there's little to no chance that your typical noise reduction could help at all, IMO.
Sadly, I was in a hurry and didn't notice until later. Thankfully, the DNG files are not affected, so the session wasn't a complete loss.
It looks bad on walls, it's even worse on skin. The person looks diseased.
Samples below, only difference was Camera2 API on or off.
BTW, I blame Google for all this crap. They obviously screwed the pooch on the 5a camera software.
