I have used USRP B210 without external reference and was able to connect to the network, although I can't claim that it worked problem free. I have now installed a GPSDO on the B210 to get better frequency accuracy, but to be honest I have not noticed any difference. Just to make sure, have you started ALL processes that OpenBTS uses? thus writing: sudo start sipauthserve sudo start smqueue sudo start asterisk sudo start openbts Missing one is a simple mistake that I did from time to time before I added all of them into one script. If you are new to openBTS I highly advice you to go through the "Getting started with OpenBTS" guide. It is a good way to get familiar with the system quickly.
