"Hello world" is asterisk preconfigured test. Asterisk just says "Hello world" and hangs up. Similar to "echo test", but nothing more than asterisk saying "hello world". I dial this test from a handset connected to openbts so it cannot be the case that the connection is not yet established. Handset is already talking to openbts, asterisk must have gotten a trigger to start playing "hello world" but somehow "hello" doesn't get through via openbts to handset. It is normally difficult to notice, but if you have asterisk answering immediately you can hear it. I get this every time. If I call echo test, there is the asterisk announcement proceding the actual test, and the first word in that announcement also gets lost.
