It worked! I deleted the previous registration entries in the database, and registered the phones using the method you suggested (sending the phone numbers to 101 via SMS); but however, I can only get messages sent between the registered phones and not calls.
Do anyone have any suggestion as to what is wrong? My test tone calls  and echo calls are OK.
Ralph, any suggestion again please.

Subject: [Openbts-discuss] Problems making calls or sending messages between phones  Hello Guys,I have built and configure OpenBTS 5.0 on an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 32 bit OS. I am following instructions from the book Getting Started with OpenBTS by Michael Ledama.   All the test communications with the base station are ok, such as: the phones can register on the BTS, the test tone call  and echo call are OK, I can send and received direct messages from the OpenBTSCLI correctly, and I can also send a message to 411 and I will receive a message showing the IMSI and the phone number that I registered with using the nmcli.py software.  However, when I make calls between the phones, it does not go through, and If I try sending a message it says the phone number is not registered. But I can see the registration details in the database.Please guys, any help will be greatly appreciated.  Ralph, can you please weight in on this.  ThanksSamuel
