Hi all, Been reading these mailing lists for a while, they've certainly helped me set up anf camp onto OpenBTS and its UMTS variant on the Ettus N210 and B200 respective; however I have some questions: 1) Is the OpenBTS-UMTS project still being maintained? It seems like only web data is enabled but the likes of SMS with SMQueue and Voice calls with asterisk are still not properly implemented since its official release in 2014 2) When analysing the UMTS traffic AFAIK I note capturing on SGSNtun will log UE Transport data on the UE's OS (using a Oneplus One). When on the configs i use "rawconfig Control.GSMTAP.TargetIP 127.0.0.1" I was able to see some non-userdata (e.g. SIM r/w commands, RRC paging commands) in the transactions. Is it possible to view what is being sent on the individual channels on the UMTS stack (e.g. the DCCH and the RACH.FACH pair) via Wireshark's protocol decoding functions? If not, are there any viable alternatives for lower-level protocol analysis? I think that's all of the current questions floating in my mind worth asking- if I'm misunderstanding anything about this by all means correct me! :-) Leo |
