Are your phones able to receive the same frequency band that OpenBTS is transmitting. In other words, if you are transmitting in the 940 MHz GSM band, are your phones able to receive that frequency band? They are not DCS (1800 MHz) only, or US only phones, are they?-Shawn

Subject: [Openbts-discuss] Some SIM cards do not see the OpenBTS network
Hello
I am working with OpenBTS v5.0, and I am using an old Nokia phone and some SIM cards from existing providers,I have SIM cards from different providers from different countries.
Out of all only SIM card from 1 provider is able to see the OpenBTS test network (01) and connect to it, and when I put a SIM card from other provider in the same handset and search for networks it does not display the OpenBTS test network at all.
Can anyone tell me what could be the issue here, are SIM cards locked in someway.
Thank you
RegardsMudassir
