I plan to maximize the number of concurrent calls in OpenBTS. Since OpenBTS used only 1 channel, the maximum concurrent calls must be 7 ( 7 TCH + 1 Signal Channel) . But when I tested my openBTS, it has only 3 concurrent calls. These are my OpenBTS.config settings: GSM.NumC7s 0 GSM.NumC1s 7 And my load in Openbts command prompt: SDCCH load: 0/4 TCH/F load: 6/7 AGCH/PCH load: 0,0 Paging Table size: 0 Transaction/TMSIs: 7,13 T3122: 2000ms I am using the OpenBTS version from git with hardware USRP 1 and 2 RFX1800. >From what I understand, 1 traffic channel is used for every phone call. But in my testing, I notice that when I make 1 phone call, the TCH/F load is 2/7. So each phone is using one channel. Is there a way to maximize the 7 channels for 7 concurrent calls? and Are there some limitations from hardwares used? Thanks! Gracie ^__^ |
