Kurtis, I'm not an expert too, but from generic knowledge the best way is to use analog RF filter. USRP may have unwanted emissions in the selected range even if it's configured in software not to emit there because of noise, spurs, etc. And actually right now OpenBTS emits only at a frequency you've configured to transmit at.
