Hi all, I'm embarked in a project to measure the performance of openBTS. I have already build up openBTS and camped succesfully but now I look toward write a formal protocol procedure to test stability, fiability and its scope. It is of special importance since the group I work with deploys wireless rural networks in Perú (so far been working succesfully with HF and VHF radios in the Amazon and now with 802.11 protocol in Amazon too and high Andes) and we'd like to know before-hand in which scenarios it may fit or would be viable (for which I'm also making some traffic engineering) I don't know If this is also of importance for the rest of you, but I'd appreciate any ideas, documents to look at. I started looking for documentation in 3gpp site, but I was only able to find conformance testing procedures for MS (04.14, 04.13). In the book, Introduction to GSM there is a chapter which describes RF testing for both MS and BTS. Is indispensable to have hardware test equipment or could it be done with tests built on openBTS (existing test loops) ? Cheers, Reynaldo Baquerizo |
