When using the new map "parts" feature of v0.5.93, I see that to edit any object within a part you must first select that part. Apart from this is there anything else this feature does?

Are any other features planned, like the ability to select or selectively hide all objects within a part?

One way I can see this function being developed is to allow the user to make a custom symbols palette for each part that contains a subset of symbols available. In such a scenario, you could separate your map objects into two parts, the first being a "base map" part, that contains all of the physical map objects and a "competition" part, that contains things that are not part of the mapped landscape (and liable to change), like logos, controls, courses etc. Having different parts would avoid accidental edits to physical objects and having different symbol palettes would minimise the accidental addition of new objects to the wrong layer.
