Category: Interpreter Group: 3.2.0 >Status: Closed Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Rony G. Flatscher (orexx) Assigned to: Rick McGuire (bigrixx) Summary: changestr()-BIF in error Initial Comment: The current drop of 3.2beta incorporates a new optional third argument in the String's methods "caselessChangeStr" and "changeStr", which allows to indicate how many times the string should be changed at most. The changeStr()-BIF has now started to expect a whole number as its third parameter too, which is wrong (it should be an optional fourth argument). The third argument should be the replacement string, if using the BIF. E.g. a rexxtry session: ---------------- cut here ---------------- E:\rony\dev\bsf\src\bsf4rexx>rexxtry REXX-ooRexx_3.2.0(MT) 6.02 12 Sep 2007 rexxtry.rex lets you interactively try REXX statements. Each string is executed when you hit Enter. Enter 'call tell' for a description of the features. Go on - try a few... Enter 'exit' to end. a="hello";say a~changestr("l","-") he--o ........................................... rexxtry.rex on WindowsNT say changestr("l", a, "-") Oooops ! ... try again. Incorrect call to routine CHANGESTR argument 3 must be a whole number; found "-" rc = 40 ................................... rexxtry.rex on WindowsNT ---------------- cut here ---------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Rick McGuire (bigrixx) Date: 2007-09-13 10:19 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1125291 Originator: NO Committed revision 752. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=684730&aid=1793959&group_id=119701 |
