On December 23rd, 2022, ooRexx 5.0.0 got released.
ooRexx 5.0.0 is a milestone release. It contains many valuable new features and improves speed considerably compared to its predecessor ooRexx 4.2.0.

Home of the Open Object Rexx Project. ooRexx is the open source version of IBM's Object REXX Interpreter. It is upwardly compatible with classic REXX and will execute classic REXX programs unchanged. The project is managed by the Rexx Language Assoc.
The first beta of ooRexx 4.0 is now available at
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=119701 (SourceForge). The beta program will last as long as necessary or until the team deems the product ready for release. The team believes the beta will last until at least until May 30, 2009. This should give everyone time for testing their current production programs against this new release. The ooRexx Team is pleased to announce the availability of ooRexx 4.0 Alpha. This is a pre-beta release we are making available for testing purposes. It is 98% feature complete and has been tested using our regression suite. There are 32-bit and 64-bit versions available for Windows and Linux. Other platforms may follow later.
W encourage everyone to doenload this release and test it in your environment. We feel it is very stable but you may find incompatibilities that need to be reported.... read more

The Rexx Language Association (RexxLA) and the Open Object Rexx Development
Team are pleased to announce the availability of Open Object Rexx (ooRexx)
version 3.2.0. ooRexx 3.2.0 is the latest open source version of IBM's
old Object REXX interpreter. It is released under the Common Public License
(CPL) v1.0.
This version builds on the previous versions by adding a host of new builtin
classes and features. There are a very large number of fixes and enhancements
in this release that are too numerous to list here. The number of supported
platforms and operating systems is large and the source is readily available
to compile it on the platform of your choice in the event a version is not

The Rexx Language Association is proud to announce the release of Open Object Rexx v3.1. The release is available now at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=119701. The release covers a number of platforms including Linux, Windows, AIX and Solaris. Other platforms will be added over the next few weeks.
This release has a long list of bug fixes and has been under development for over a year. It also incorporates a number of new features including new RexxUtil functions and new methods on a number of the builtin classes as well as a new CircularQueue builtin class. The documentation has a number of updates and enhancements and can be downloaded from the same page as the code.
ooRexx version 3.1 Beta 2 has been released along with beta 5 of the documentation.
Open Object Rexx 3.1 Beta 1 is available for testing in the Files section. This version includes a new Windows installer and many enhancements to the interpreter.
The documentation for Open Object Rexx 3.0.0 has been updated. The latest documents support highlighted links, PDF meta info, and document indexing. All of the documentation is available in PDF format.
