All - As you may know Mark Hessling is in the process of moving the www.oorexx.org server from my study to the SafeData location where www.rexxla.org resides. When that task is accomplished I will convert the surrent server into an official build machine for us to use. I will load a copy of VMWare Server on it and then establish some build environments for us (Fedora, Ubuntu, Windows, etc). I will need to upgrade the hardware on the machine but I was going to do that anyway. It needs additional disk space and more memory. I am going to build a practice ooRexx build machine on a spare I have before I convert our current server. So 2 questions come immediately to mind. 1. Mark, any projected date when the new oorexx.org server will be ready? 2. What Windows version would be best for the build machine? I can do either Win 2000 or XP. My preference is Win2k because it is a lower common denominator, but I could be convinced otherwise. With enough disk space I could do both but I don't think that is necessary. Let me know your preferences. Thanks, W. David Ashley IBM Systems and Technology Group Lab Services Open Object Rexx Team Office Phone: 512-838-0609 T/L 678-0609 Mobile Phone: 512-289-7506 |
