HOWEVER, the script will continue to run AND open the web page. With versions of ooRexx prior to 3.1.2 the "start" command will work fine from a command line or inside code, but once 3.1.2 is installed "start" is "damaged". I suspect that something in one of the system environment variables has been altered. I have an old Dell system here at home that I will wipe clean on Thu. - install 3.1.1 - test "start" - uninstall 3.1.1 - install 3.1.2 - retest "start". If I can't reproduce the effect with that I will be happy to have this bug closed. But I've already tested on 6 different systems and the only ones that have a problem are the ones with 3.1.2 installed. That way ooRexx is not involved at all. But when I tried it on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th systems, the problem only occurred on systems with 3.1.2. Thus my conclusion that it's related to 3.1.2. Lee Will test more systems if necessary. On my system when I type it in on the command line, IE starts up with RexxLA site and there is no error message. This seems more like something coming from the operating system. When you say you tried it with 3.1.1, were you on the exact same machine? Or is your 3.1.1 ooRexx on a different machine as your 3.1.2 ooRexx? The other thing is, I have IE 7 on the system I tried this.
