Category: Installation Group: v3.1beta >Status: Closed Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: J Thomsen (joergent) Assigned to: Mark Hessling (rexx) Summary: Not possible to specify inst.dir in silent installation Initial Comment: Windows XP. ooRexx 3.01 The product will always install into c:\Program Files\ooRexx. Please, see http://wi.wu- wien.ac.at/rgf/rexx/tmp/readme213_rt.txt ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mark Hessling (rexx) Date: 2006-06-02 10:00 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=86185 These instructions now in README documentation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: J Thomsen (joergent) Date: 2005-06-23 18:37 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1177594 yes, and make sure it is the real last parameter ! eg. oorex301.exe /S >log.file 2>&1 /D=............ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mark Hessling (rexx) Date: 2005-06-23 09:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=86185 I just tested with a directory with spaces like you and it failed. The "problem" is the quotes around the directory name! NSIS installer requires that the /D= switch is the last switch on the command line, and DO NOT quote the directory name. This is a bit odd, but unfortunately that appears to be the rules NSIS imposes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: J Thomsen (joergent) Date: 2005-06-22 22:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1177594 This does not work: "C:\Data\ooRexx\3.01\ooRexx301.exe" /S /D="C:\Program Files\OpenSrc\ooRexx" Is it a feature of 3.02 and up ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mark Hessling (rexx) Date: 2005-06-22 10:33 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=86185 The installer used for ooRexx has changed form the Object REXX installer. To install silently into c:\oorexx, use the following: oorexx302.exe /S /D=c:\oorexx Note that there is a slight problem with silent installation in the current release if rxapi.exe is currently running. This will be fixed in the next release. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=684730&aid=1224822&group_id=119701 |
