Please ignore my last email (below) - it's rubbish. The ooDialog Reference is right. Sorry, Oliver _____ From: Oliver Sims [mailto:oli...@si...] Sent: 20 February 2012 22:43 To: 'Open Object Rexx Users' Subject: [Oorexx-users] ooDialog - PopUpAsChild The ooDialog Reference (build 7341) says (page 315): The popupAsChild method starts a modeless dialog executing and returns immediately. It is very similar to the popup method, but has the additional functionality that it is closed automaticaly when the parent dialog is closed. However, if the parent was also started as a "popUpAsChild", then this is not true - if the parent is closed the child remains (ooDialog 4.2 build 7449). Is this a bug? If not, perhaps the text should be changed to say, The popupAsChild method starts a modeless dialog executing and returns immediately. It is very similar to the popup method, but has the additional functionality that it is closed automatically when the parent dialog is closed - unless the parent was also started with popupAsChild. I hope it's not a bug - I like the actual behavior. -- Oliver |
