Category: Installation Group: v4.0 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 8 Private: No Submitted By: Martin Krischik (krischik) >Assigned to: Mark Miesfeld (miesfeld) Summary: ./configure is missing in ooRexx.4.0.0.source.tar.gz Initial Comment: I am more then surprised that I am the first to notice but ./configure is missing from ooRexx.4.0.0.source.tar.gz. This is pretty bad as unix-like-build.txt states it should be there. Apart from that live for package maintainer like me would be a lot easier if you followed directory / tar-file naming conventions. Martin ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Mark Miesfeld (miesfeld) Date: 2009-09-20 19:12 Message: Martin, I've uploaded the proper source file, it builds using just ./configure. Give it a try please. "Apart from that live for package maintainer like me would be a lot easier if you followed directory / tar-file naming conventions." I'm not sure exactly what you mean by that. The file name is: ooRexx-4.0.0.tar.gz It untars into ooRexx-4.0.0, which is what I would expect it to do, from the file name. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mark Miesfeld (miesfeld) Date: 2009-09-20 08:36 Message: Well, Martin, you're not the first to notice. We have the wrong source file package up on SourceForge. We should have the source file that only needs ./configure make to build. I've been meaning to fix that for some time, but just hadn't got around to it. ;-( I'll try to straighten this out today. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=684730&aid=2862619&group_id=119701 |
