Category: Classes >Group: v3.2.0 >Status: Open Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Rick McGuire (bigrixx) Assigned to: Rick McGuire (bigrixx) Summary: Add an explicit hashCode method to object. Initial Comment: It would be nice to decouple the two different functions that the "==" method is supposed to supply by having a "hashCode" method that can be overridden rather than implement the hashcode in "==". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Rick McGuire (bigrixx) Date: 2007-09-26 14:14 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1125291 Originator: YES Committed revision 813. Doc update. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Rick McGuire (bigrixx) Date: 2007-09-26 13:29 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1125291 Originator: YES Since the entire Map collection mechanism that was supposed to be using the "==" method has been completely broken for many years, I've removed the "==" usage for hash codes and added a HASHCODE method as it's replacement. This should be simpler to implement and explain now. Code changes Committed revision 812. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=684733&aid=1802832&group_id=119701 |
